Greetings,

i just bought a new power supply to be able to put a geforce 8800gts in my box. The fan is not positionned on the outside the back of the computer but on the bottom inside the computer looking down. I was wondering if i chose a wrong power supply for my computer the holes seem to be the same. I changed from 350w to 600w. my boc is an antec 1650B.

Thanks.

Not all PSUs have fans on the back. Mine doesn't.

I am not sure of exactly what you are talking about. If you could take a picture for us, it would help. Also some PSU can be flipped upside down for different cases, if that is what you mean.

Hi Rechkalov7!

It sounds like what you're saying is correct - that fan is an intake, which pulls air (from in the case) through the PSU unit and it exhausts through the back (honeycomb) plate.

Does that make sense?
