Setting and defragging page filing

pretty simple my question....

how do i know what to set my page filing to with 1gig of ram and how do i defrag my page filing??

this is on windows xp :)

The rule of the thumb is 1.5 times the amount of system memory (so 1.5 gigs)

so how do i set the min and max? also there isnt a type of software that frags it?

there are software packages that can defrag your paging file...but i (personally) wouldn't trust any of the free ones (hence the free steps on that last site)
