how can i make a download go faster. im downloading something going only 150 kb\s

it's going to take another 7hours to finish downloading at this rate, is there a way to put all my bandwith into just that download? or maybe a program can?

im downloading a client from a mirror a very good one that is going 200 kb\s or so right now but i've gone over 1000 kb\s sometimes on this same download i cant maintain the same speed

Again, what exactly are you downloading and from where (exact name of site)?

Then why not download it from their own website?

Took a look at some of their downloads. Seems to be alot of commercial games there available for free.

because those are old patches... if i downloaded one of theo lder versions i would have to download the patches which are 1 gig each

Okay, I can see that but I found the same version at about.com

It is the other links and downloads that bother me. Commercial software usually isn't offered as a free download from kosher sites.

Odds are your download speed is due to the number of people trying to pilfer from that site. Bandwidth would be limited.
