as a result of a problem w/an HP all-in-1-printer uninstall/re-install (2 to 3 x's, along w/it's stupid "automatic update" thingy ) after moving my PC from 1 room to another, i now receive the Windows Activation communique everytime i do a cold boot, and even sometimes when i do a warm boot. (please!)keeping in mind that i am soooo not (at all!) a compy geek, how do i make the horrible, terrible MS monster 'voice' stop asking me to activate my copy of Windows?

i'm new here -- hello all you wonderful geeky/tufftechie people! -- looking so forward to being successfully helped w/this issue, as, unfortunately, i have several others i need help with.

There's a limit to how many times you can re-install XP before having to phone them, as the internet activation option won't work when that limit is reached. Choose "telephone activation" and you'll see a phone number to ring. They'll give you a new activation code which you have to type in while they're actually reading it out to you.
