Windows Media player wont run?

hi all, i dont know what it is, but windows media player just wont run :) :)
when i start it, it gives me this:
Windows Media Player has stopped working

i did a restart but it just wont get fixed..

can anyone help me out ? :)

Most Media Player issues can be solved by upgrading to the latest version which is currently Version 11.

What version of Windows are you using?

Did you try rolling back to an older version to see if it works? You might want to take a look at this topic also to see if it helps. Try the suggestions there.
