Right there is a server and a map on a jump server that when I get there it says impure client detected. Invalid .iwd files referenced! Now I know all you have to do is delete this file...but I don't have them! I have searched absolitely everywhere and I'm positive they're not there.

The other thing is that I don't mind having all my mods. However, there are two (extreme mod and the new one, clanssd rifles) that change my menu and game. Extreme makes everything German (!) and clanssd changes the picture and everything on the menu and stop my in-game xfire from working.

Thankyou everyone.

First go into your profile. should be something like \call of duty\main\players
only thing you should have there is the config_mp.cfg

Next look in the Main folder:
you should have iw_00 through iw_15.iwd files
and localized english_ iw00.iwd - localized english_iw11.iwd

delete all other .iwd files.

Next look go to the root directory \call of duty\ and look at the folders listed there.
Default folders are:
docs
main
miles
pb

any other folder should be safe to remove. If you have any questions on files or folders please ask.

Thankyou very much. I'm at my dad's at the moment and will look when I get home. The only other problem is that there are a few mods I Don't mind keeping and a few I want to keep, mainly the zombie and codjumper ones.

good server admins will create a folder and store all the mods there. That way they won't conflict with other server or mods that may be used. For example:

c:\call of duty\victory

This is how my server will setup our mods. Not everyone does this, but they should.

Thankyou,

But if they don't, do you know what, for instance, the extreme mod is called?

ARGH! I uninstalled CoD2, deleted the folder, emptied it, searched for rifles and .iwd in the search feature, deleted them from the recycle bin, reinstalled CoD2 and it's still in German from Extreme and the menu is different from bloody 'clanssd' rifles which stops my in-game xfire. [bleep] YOU! :) :) :) :)

Right this is really wierd when I play snippys it changes the menu and there is a 'mods' option to launch any mod. All of the mods I've ever downloaded are still there! Even more than were in the program files folder! Could it be I used the same 1.3 patch? Should I delete it and download the patch again? I don't know what else to do?!

Contact the server owner. They can provide you with specific information as to how they have setup the mod to work. Chances are it's being downloaded automatically when you join the server.

OK, basically all I wnat to do is wipe all the mods off my memory everywhere, be it computer or CoD2 (I dunno, don't ask) and start again. So do you know how to?

And thanks for all your help in this, I know I'm being really hard.

Lets see if we can find the culprit

1) download HiJackThis
Install and then run program.

2) On the first screen you see, click on the Open Misc Tools Section button

3) Click on Open Uninstall Manager

4) Click on Save List (lower right corner).

5.) Now Notepad will open and you will see the Uninstall List Log information that was generated by HijackThis

6.) Now all need to do is either Copy & Paste what is in Notepad, or save the text file and add it as an attachment to your reply.
