This external drive that I have is unable to be opened when clicking in the windows explorer. I double click it and it gives me the choose from the list of programs menu. What program within Windows actually makes the drive open?? I am assuming I may need to go within the windows directory to find it. Strange thing is, I can open it when it first runs the autoplay option to always open the folder, and it opens. Once I click out of it, it cannot go back in. Very strange, anyone see this before?

You should have a drive letter for your external drive in the 'My Computer' window. Start->My Computer.
The drive letter will be labelled "External Hard Disk" if it's a self-built generic one, or possibly the name of the manufacturer
if, for example, it's a factory-built Seagate unit.
Double-click that drive-letter to open another window showing the contents of the drive.
