Help! Internet Explorer problems!

Hi, I'm pretty new and my computer is very messed up ( full of malware problems, and I've been trying to take care of a few application errors,) and I don't know if this might be related but I cannot open internet explorer at all. Right now I'm using Mozilla Firefox (its working perfectly) and I tried opening Internet explorer, and there is no error, nothing. It just never comes up. After the fifteenth million time of clicking waiting restarting computer so on and so on, it still never ever loads!
