Hi,

First visit as a member here but I’ve been watching the threads for some time and the info’ looks real helpful.

I have a problem with what I think is the ABOUTBLANK Trojan. My AV (Kaspersky) picks up the file Windows/temp/se.dll and Windows/system/BIMHL.dll, and tells me it’s a startpage Trojan.

My homepage gets hijacked. I have disable the registry start up entry from msconfig, but it always reloads again. Neither of these files can be deleted, not even in safe mode.

I run Adaware and Spybot, which always finds the files and delas with them but they come back straightaway. Loads of registry entries have been changed, and things added which Spybot tells me about but just lets happen despite everyting.

Occasionally a DOS window pops up which tells me I'm infected as well.

It’s driving me nuts – can anyone help please?

Hi Billywhizz and welcome
Probably best to have you download HJT and post a HJT log over in the Malware Removal forum, Or you can post it back to this thread and I will move this post over for you,

Thanks
