COD2 Newb needs help!

When starting cod2, this comes up:

Error during initialization:
No valid rendering code path detected.

Sorry I am totally new with computers. Cod1 worked fine in my pc. Is there any way I will be able to run2?
I've got a compaq with 512 ram. Are there any intel video driver updates I need to get?

chances are that you will not be able to play cod2. you can go to http://www.srtest.com/referrer/srtest and select cod2 to see if your system meets the requirements.

Intel cards aren't supported by the game and most Intel cards aren't DirectX 9 compatible which is a requirement.
