What is PHP im learning HTML at the moment is it something to do with that? Plus if it does have something to do with it is there any good websites or books out there to learn it from?

php and html are used together. html provides structure for a web page(tables, other components). php provides functionality(like calculating sales tax).

php helps with making your site more dynamic; ie: live news, results, posts, pictures, just about anything you can think of.

K thanks guys that should keep me going for a some time. Question i thought javascript did that type of thing or can both do it.

javascript is client side code.
php is servier side code.
when you bring up a web site, you will most likely be running some javascript on your PC. The web site may be runninig php. Check out the url addresses when logged into GTG. Lots of php.

you can do a lot with javascript, but you can do much more with php.
