Why would you want to open another instance of Firefox? The idea of tabs is so you don't have to do this, and it also uses less RAM that way. Considering how long it takes Firefox to start, using tabs instead of opening a new window makes even more sense.

Cuz it's easier to find the page I need in a new window. In the first window in the example above, I'm opening about 40 tabs at once usually. So I open a new window to work in a page that's unrelated to those 40 and which I don't want to accidentally close thinking it's one of those.
