i am using windows xp pro . now i decided i have to format and reinstall a fresh windows xp pro.
but when i began installing set up quits with the following message

file\i386\ntkrnlmp.exe could not be loaded
the error code is 7

my pc is dell pentium 4
256mb ram and 40 gb hard disk

i have tried google abt the problem it but it doesnt help

Try again. If the same problem happens during setup then your XP disk is probably faulty. If possible try to borrow another disk of the same version that was originally installed in the computer. When asked for the product key use the one of your original cd. That's perfectly legal.
