So maybe I'm doing this backwards. I got a weird virus, I think. I restored my software however my external drive changed its name from M: to L:. Does anyone have any ideas how I can get it changed back.

Many thanks

Hi Bob

Try this:
Make sure your external drive is connected, then go to Start -> Run.. and type diskmgmt.msc (click OK)

In disk management, you should see your external drive listed at the top. Right click on the drive & select 'Change drive letter'. Providing 'L' hasn't already been assigned to another drive, then you should be able to simply select 'L' as the new drive letter for the external drive.
