Subdomain help

That depends on your DNS configuration.
If you are using an external DNS provider, you will need to create an A record for your zone [somerandomthing.com.db], called fredil, then create a CNAME record in the same zone called www.fredil pointing to fredil. Hopefully this should work for you, but it all depends on your method of DNS control whether it be cPanel or Afraid. Let me know if you need help setting this up.

According to HostMonster, you have unlimited subdomains. I would call them:
Whatever Control Panel they provide should have a subdomain setup tool that will be a lot easier to use then following someone's instructions here. The Control Panel should also have a Help menu and search function to use.
