Had SPYWARE, but CPU usage 100%, apps open slow

I got a "new" system from a friend. REally it is an old one, but I can't afford to by a new one. My friend said that I should run a registry cleaner, antivirus software, and spyware removal software.

After running Wise free registry cleaner, eusing free registry cleaner, CCleaner, Adaware, housecall, panda active scan, avg free spyware, and ewido, jv16 powertools trial version.

I finally got the system to scan with no malware, spyware, or viruses, but it still has 100% CPU usage when I am not running anything. Even if I wait 10 minutes after start up.

Programs also open slow, specifically ie6, and the current version of Firefox.

Please help. I think there is still something running on my computer that I don't want to.

I am listing the HijackThis log first, and then I am listing the Uninstall log.

Run HijackThis, click "Do a system scan only" and check this entry

Close all windows except for HijackThis and click "Fix Checked"



Your Java is out of date. Older versions have vulnerabilities that malicious sites can use to infect your system. Please follow these steps to remove older version Java components and update:
  • Download the latest version of Java Runtime Environment (JRE) Version 6 and save it to your desktop.
  • Scroll down to where it says "Java Runtime Environment (JRE)6 Update 3...allows end-users to run Java applications".
  • Click the "Download" button to the right.
  • Read the License Agreement and then check the box that says: "Accept License Agreement". The page will refresh.
  • Click on the link to download Windows Offline Installation and save the file to your desktop.
  • Close any programs you may have running - especially your web browser.
  • Go to Start > Settings > Control Panel, double-click on Add/Remove Programs and remove all older versions of Java.
  • Check (highlight) any item with Java Runtime Environment (JRE or J2SE) in the name.
  • Click the Remove or Change/Remove button.
  • Repeat as many times as necessary to remove each Java versions.
  • Reboot your computer once all Java components are removed.
  • Then from your desktop double-click on jre-6u3-windows-i586-p.exe to install the newest version.
