Hi

My PC suddenly wants to boot to the 2nd hard drive which is an 80gb IDE rather than the 320gb Sata (which has XP on it). If I disable the "JMicron" hard drive checker via the bios it loads XP from the Sata drive no problems, but obviously you can't use the IDE for anything. If you turn on HD checking (JMicron) it insists that it could not read from the selected hard drive and wants to install XP again. I thought I would do a repair install but it wants to format the Sata drive (Which I don't want to do as it has all my data on it).

Hope some one can shed some light on this problem.
The computer is newish with a core 2 duo 6750, Asus mother board and a Maxtor 320gb Sata hard drive. The 80gb HD is a few years old but seems OK.

Any thoughts????
