SMC Wireless G problem

Im having a problem with my SMC 54Mbps Wireless G DSL Router. Im sharing a 1Mbps adsl connection through it and im havin problems while playin multiplayer games. I have concluded that it is not the game causing the problem (hence i posted in the networking forum :tazz:

). The problem is with ping spikes. E.g. in counterstrike my ping averages at about 20. But every minute or so it spikes to over 1000 and then drops back down again. This only happens on the computer receiving the connection through the wireless router.

I would appreciate any solutions
