have any of you heard of facebook.exe? It can be found here, http://mirror.facebo...cebook/desktop/. I tried launching it and it asked to open my windows firewall. I let it and it did nothing. The process facebook.exe takes about 12 meg of RAM. I also tried launching it from command prompt, but no output was given. Any ideas what this is or what it does?

You mean you installed something and allowed it through your firewall without knowing what it is or what it does? That's never a good idea.

I realize that it was not a great idea, but was curious what would happen. It came from a trusted source and I have several other antispyware programs running. Also, I have all my data backed up and don't mind reformatting.
I know what Facebook itself is, but was wondering about the executable that I found. Maybe I'll run net-mon with it launched and see what servers its connecting to.
