on initial desktop startup ClientGui.exe Application error the application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000142)

on closing - followed by BufferZone GUI has stopped working correctly.

Please advise!

Did you try to get a new boot screen?

Please do this and tell me what you see here:

1. Click on the start orb and type in "MSCONFIG" in the textbox.

2. Once the System Configuration tool loads, click on the Boot tab.

3. Under Boot Options is "No GUI Boot" checked or unchecked?

That's as it should be. Are you up to date with security patches?

This is an Application error...so you need to find out what app isn't working properly.

Type eventvwr in the 'start search' window. Click on the event viewer icon and see what shows up.

Hi

I am also recieving the same error messages on my laptop.

I followed the previous stepped outlined and found i am reciving the same problems

(on initial desktop startup ClientGui.exe Application error the application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000142)

on closing - followed by BufferZone GUI has stopped working correctly.)

I have found this error slowing down performance of the laptop and also sometimes freezing the page and not responding when i am on internet pages.

Please could somebody advise me how to Rectify this issue please.

(I am currently using norton 360 and have run several scans that have not detected any spyware or malware issues)
