I download zip files and Vista doesn't know how to open them...? It was like this a few days ago, maybe an update messed with it. Anyone know how to fix this?

This is a common problem with vista's built-in zip utility and the usual cure seems to be to install an alternative unzipper, not least because even when it works, Vista's unzipper is not well liked -- It's more of a workaround than a fix, but it will work and it's better. The best free one is called '7-zip'. Once installed, run it (7-Zip File Manager) and go to 'Tools->Options in the menu bar at the top. Click on the 'System' tab, make sure the 'zip' check box at the bottom is ticked and click 'OK'. Close the program.
Now any zip file you download should have a new icon representing 7-zip as the default unzipper. Right-click the zip-file and in the context-menu you'll see '7-Zip' as an option, to the right of which is a sub-menu with several extract options.
