Slow Computer

I have a computer that is running rediculously slow. Its a compaq computer, fairly new computer but its running really, really slow. I have virus protections and a spyware remover program that works pretty well.

What can I do to increase the speed of my computer???

Try cleaning unneccessary files by using disk cleanup. delete any cookies and temporary files you have. then defragment the drive. use "registry cleaner" software to clean up unk in the registry. That should get your computer up. If not, post a hijack this log in the malware removal forum in this site. Hope that helps.
