I have been getting a random error at startup of my pc as follows (in the first dos screen)
It is a HP ZD8110US laptop

The error is as follows:

INTEL UNDI, PXE-2.0(BUILD O82)
FOR REALTEK FAST ETHERNET CONTROLLER RTL 8139(X)/8130/810X
PCI FAST ETHERNET CONTROLER V2.13
PXE-E61 MEDIA TEST FAILURE CHECK CABLE
PXE-M0F-EXITING PXE ROM

All it does is keep repeating this message over and over ( with and without the hard drive installed)

It actually booted and operated normally once today for about 10 minutes, then froze up and went back to this error with every time i try and boot ,the odd time it will get to starting XP screen then just lock up

Any suggestions ????

Thx in advance guys

Check in the BIOS setup that 'Network Device' is not set as one of the boot options, 'cos it looks like your PC is trying to boot first from network card.
First boot device should be set to IDE (the hard disk).
