Need help with error message: Error Initializing Direct 3d: Check for graphics hardware acceleration. We used to play school tycoon, sims, a lot of simple games on our Windows XP pc, but since I've been getting this error message, we can't do much of anything as far as games are concerned.
It's frustrating because we only use this computer for homework, gaming, email, and other internet stuff. I've tried searching for information but it's all Geek ... I mean Greek to me. :) Please help?!

Hello Shortyblueeyes5 and welcome to G2G!

Would you please post your system specs on here so we can help you?

First go to the start menu, run, type "dxdiag" (Without the quotations.)

Click on the display tab, copy the stuff there about your graphics card (or chipset) and post it here.

Thank you,

-AgentMES
