yo guys,

hows it going. yea so today, actually about 5 minutes ago i was playing some counter-strike and then for some reason it froze and nothing was responding. alt-ctrl-del didnt work, alt-F4, blah blah. So i hit the power button and turned it off. Then when i reboot, it the dell logo comes up and the loading bar gets towards the end then stops. Then i get this error:

"Primary hard disk drive 0 not found
no bootable devices-strike F1 to retry boot, F2 for system utility."

Running Dell latitude D600 notebook, pentium M 1.4ghz, 512RAM, 30gb hard drive not sure what else you need to know. But anyway how do i fix it? Do i need to reinstall my hard drive or load boot disk. Let me know fellas.

ditto

**EDIT

so i was on the dell site, i think i need to get IDE or something like that. Here's what i think i need to download but tell me if im on the right track.

Hey ditto, hopefully your hard drive didn't die <_<

If you enter BIOS, does it recognize your hard drive?

Silly question, but did you put the little adaptor from your old HD on your replacement hd? it's the long thin black and gold panel on the end of the HD....If you're new HD isn't working, it could be that. I've made that mistake before so thought I'd ask.
