Hi everyone, I was just interested in finally replacing my desktop with a laptop.
I would like to get something portable, FAST, and cost efficient.
I will most probably surf the web, watch movies and listen to music alot. I don't game anymore but prefer high visual specs on my OS like windows blinds, docks, widgets etc.

I would like to keep this laptop for about 3 years minimum before having to replace it.

Any idea what to get?
IS laptop building an option? I see desktop building is much MUCH cheaper than buying them from companies like dell etc. So can i build the laptop?

Budget is around $1700 i can go max upto 2000 if i see it is really worth it.
