On Friday I downloaded a file, which unfortunately, must have contained a virus. I found a complete history of sites on my computer that I didn't visit, such as s3.truth-is-out-there.org. I ran a virus scan and found s2f.exe, trojan.downloader, msc.exe and some other viruses. I deleted them thinking I had taken care of it. In a couple of hours I went back on the computer and found those same sites and I ran a virus scan and found more viruses. I thought it might have been spyware so I downloaded SUPERantispyware and ran it while AVG was running. I killed the spyware and viruses. Sure enough, the next day (saturday) I found those sites again so, I put the computer in safe mode and ran the programs and deleted the programs. Next I put the computer in normal running mode and the sites came back up. I even tried a system restore but the sites keep popping up.

Hello Bloodz...

Please go to the Malware Forum and follow the instructions you'll find there.

That will give you several steps that will help you clean up 70 percent of all problems by yourself. If at the end of the process you are still having difficulty--and you may not be-- post a hijackthis log in THAT forum. Do Not reply to or "bump" your own topic...if it shows a reply, it may be overlooked as one that is being worked on.

If you are still having problems after getting a clean bill of health from the malware expert, please return to this thread.
