<_< My disk fragmenter won't work. It will start to analyze but then tells me I have to run "scandisk" as there are inconsistencies in the the file system. I don't have scandisk! I did run the disk clean up, but that didn't help. Any help with this problem would be much appreciated.

Double-click My Computer, and then right-click the local disk that you want to check.
Click Properties, and then click Tools.
Under Error-checking, click Check Now.
Under Check disk options, select the Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors check box.
Click Start.
