last night my computer froze so i restarted it and it went to the screen with all the safe mode options on it i tried to start the computer in all the options but it just goes to a page with lines and lines or wrighting and then goes to a black screen that says windows xp and goes no further just takes its self back the the safe mode option screen i have tried to start it in all the options i have no clue what to do could some one please help me..

Is your machine a brand name machine like Dell or HP? If it is, what is the make and model number?
Do you have an XP installation cd?
