I recently bought an ipod touch (one reason because of the wi-fi web browsing) and I can't seem to get my wi-fi to work. I find plenty of wi-fi networks but all of them seemed to be locked. Most of them are 2WIRE networks (e.g. 2WIRE685, 2WIRE144, etc.). Does anyone know the password for these networks?

Do you own a 2wire? if so the last 3 digits of the serial number will identify your 2wire. the WEP key is below the serial number in brackets. it is ten digits.

what is a 2wire because I dont know

A 2wire is a gateway, modem router in one unit. Many ISPs provide them to customers to replace modems and routers so it's all one unit. They by default come encrypted with a WEP 64bit key.

no but I do have a modem
