I'm working w/a friend to fix the above problem on their computer. She is ubable to get to the Web because of the fatal exception 06.

I went to the Microsoft help support site, the site recommended the "workaround" of removing anti-virus software - Norton AntiVirus 2000, which we did.
She got back on for a day but the fatal exception error returned when she tried to go online the following day.

Her modem is a U.S. Robotics, sorry she did not the model or version. The browser is Internet Explorer.

Would appreciate any assistance.

Generally, a fatal exception occurs within a module...ie, a fatal exception 06 has occured in module XXXX at memory address YYYYY

That would help facilitate a solution.

Most often, these are driver issues and installing new drivers will allevitethe issue
