I have no idea why.

I decided I wanted to play WoW (world of warcraft) again after taking a break for a few months.

I log on and I have really bad fps,(.5-3) It's only up to about 18-20 in completely desolate areas.

No clue why.

I recently installed and bought Kaspersky Internet Security and Max Registry cleaner so I don't think there's some kind of malware or a bad registry.

Though, I did notice while playing in the task manager that my CPU usage is up to 100% while running WoW, and 24% with it minimized.
5% when it's not running.

I used to have terrible FPS before like a year ago when I was active and upgradged my ram from 512 MB to 1535 MB and that fixed it.

try disabling your anti virus. It may be scanning your game while playing thus resulting in bad fps.

I've tried pretty much everything except the solution, whatever that may be.

try running the wow repair

the repair utility (repair.exe) can now be found in the main World of Warcraft game directory on your hard drive

try what I just did bought a used box and and better the averge mobo and put in a new vid card Sapphire 2400 pro
my fps was 3.4 and now its 84 in Shat and SW
