I am unable to view certain web pages on a DELL 4600 Win XP SP 2 IE 7 system but can view the sam web page on an Acer laptop also running Win XP SP 2 and IE 7 as well as a Compaq Presario running Windows XP SP 2 with IE 6.

For example one of the pages is www.elfyourself.com. Most of the sites are fairly trivial interests but the ongoing issue is annoying. Typically I receive no error message, it simply acts as if is displaying the page but it is completely blank.

I have compared all of the security setings on both systems running the IE 7 and they appear to be identical.

Any advice would be very beneficial.

Thanks.

Try running IE without any add-ons:
Go to Start | All Programs | Accessories | System Tools and choose Internet Explorer (No Add-ons)

If this doesn't help, do the following:
  • Go to Start | Run, type cmd, and press Enter
  • Enter the following commands and process them with Enter:
    ipconfig /flushdns
    ipconfig /registerdns
  • Restart IE and try it again
Let me know if this helps,

Ax
