Hi guys,

I have an XP laptop connected to my router via ethernet cable and a Vista desktop connected wirelessly. On the laptop i can see the Vista but when i double click on it it says 'access denied, you do not have permission' 'the network path was not found' and i can't get in. As for the desktop, it sees nothing other than itself.

I have completed the set up wizards, bridged the connections on the router and still nothing/access denied!

Please help!

Have you ensured that both computers have the same 'workgroup' name? (eg 'mshome' is the default name, but you can have one of your own choice).

Yep! Both are in the same workgroup. Might be worth adding that i have only seen the Vista machine through the 'View PC's in my workgroup' section of XP.

Here is a picture of my network map according to vista. Not to sure what the 'switch' is?

I also tried doing both wireless and neither saw each other.
