I install PCAnywhere v12 and was able to setup the host and remote to run smoothly on my LAN.

While trying to setup running over internet I couldn't get it connected.

Checklist:

1. Portwarding set to 5631 and 5632 for pcanywhere
2. No firewall software or windows firewall
3. check my ip using whatismyip.com (I don't have a static ip from my ISP)

Anything else?

In your router for PcAnywhere, you need the following ports forwarded in your router/firewall:

TCP 5631
TCP 65301
UDP 22
UDP 5632

However if you're not using a firewall or a router, the most likely cause of not connecting is you haven't started the listening portion on the machine you want to control or the machine doesn't have a static IP to your router that is set up for port-forwarding on that address only.
