icons coming up missing

a couple of weeks ago my computer started missing icons. both on the desktop and in folders.
when to you go properties, it shows the icon, but when you sleect it again (just to make sure) it still doesn't appear.
anyidea what's going on?


i REALLY would love some help on this one. it seems the last couple of topics i've posted has been ignored

Hi hughbie...

This sounds a little like a corrupt icon cache...or it needs to be refreshed.

Right click on the desktop and choose "Properties". Under the "Settings" tab, change your "Color quality" from 32 bit to 16 bit and "Apply" the change. Then change it back to 32 bit and "Apply" the change. This will usually refresh the icon cache.
