Volume and screen resolution problem

Hello, well my problem is i cant get my volume to work or change my screen resolution which is very annoying. The problem (to my knowledge) is that the um adapters and whatnot can't be installed. I tried to install them with the wizard thing but at the end it say's : This device cannot start. (Code 10), so im basically stuck and i dont know what else to do. What should i do? Oh by the way theres a yellow sign with an exclamation point next to the um file. Thanks

go here and download and install sandrasoft

this will identify your hardware u can then go and download the drivers and all will work.
