I am working on one desktop computer, and I noticed there is no company name appears on front of Device Manager. Also there is "OTHER DEVICE" under Fast Ethernet has a yellow exclamation so I used Dell CD for driver to resolve the driver then restarted computer. Then I checked on device manager to check on device manager listing so Fast Ethernet NIC is disappearing, not on listing. Also still Company Name DELL is appearing on front device manager, needs help this.

First off that XBOX game could not contact ip address due to DHCP needs to enable so I checked on computer is working fine on Internet but it won't work for other devices. I used Ping for TCP/IP Protocol. TCP/IP works fine except the Local Area Connection I type pining 131.128.1.127, it stated Destination host unreachable, what is this mean? After I diagnositics all the hardware and also chkdsk /r, still has the same problem. Does this have done with software issues with Windows XP? I read some information is suggesting restoring operating system on Window XP? How do I restore operating system? By using Window XP cd operating system? Should I back up document and c drive prior restore operation system?
