one day i went onto itunes to play some music and it just didn't work. the music would not play. and then i tried windows media player, real player, winamp, and vlc media player - none of which worked. videos will also not play on any of the above media players either. the closest thing ive been able to do is watch mpegs on firefox, but without sound. on device manager, the only device that shows an error is "microsoft WPD filesystem volume drive" under "portable devices." so what ive had to do over the past month and a half is listen to music by searching youtube and streaming music. does anyone have any idea as to how i can fix this (my OS is vista by the way and it's a dell laptop)?
thanks
