Hello GeekoNoob and welcome to geeks to go!

What you are dealing with is the Windows Error Reporting service.

Lets take a look at what is starting up when your computer does. Please download HiJackThis, install it, and double-click on the HiJackThis.exe icon. On the first screen click on Open the Misc Tools Section...On the next screen, click on the Generate StartupList log button and post a copy of the log here. You need not check either of the boxes next to this button.

Regards,

Ax

Sorry about the delay, I've been a bit bogged down the last couple days. Thanks 1101doc for responding the thread, I appreciate it.

OK, GeekoNoob, do you use Chinese or East Asian translation services included with windows? Quite a few of your startup programs have something to do with this. Please let me know.

It doesn't mean they are related to the error, I was just asking so that I could determine whether or not they were required to run at startup. I'm going to take a different direction on this than I originally intended. Let's first see that your system is completely free of malware.

I suggest you go to the Malware Forum and run all the steps located in the START HERE. These self-help tools will help you clean up 70% of problems on your own. If you are still having problems after doing the steps, then please post a HiJackThis Log in THAT forum.

If you are still having problems after being given a clean bill of health from the malware expert, then please return to THIS thread and we will pursue other options to help you solve your current problem(s).

Regards,

Ax

When you post your HJT log, there will be a helper who assists you in your thread. Once completed, the helper will declare your log clean. We're going to do it this way just to make sure that there is no bad piece of software causing windows to kick off the errors.

geek-o-holic, please do not respond about your problem in another person's topic. If your problem is similar then follow the instructions given to the original poster and if this does not solve your problem then start a new topic about your problem in the appropriate forum. Please note it is against forum policy to post a HijackThis Log in any Forum other than the Malware Forum.
