[soy feo]

My iex6 is very slow to load pages or -reload pages.I've done all I know how to do,clearh-history,delete files/cookies,re-set cach page but to no advail.Any suggestions as to what I can try next?

My comp is slow to reboot,I mean it takes a good minute to a minute and half to get past the 'welcome' page.What i have done so far in an attempt to speed it up is,delete any start-up programs,cleaned up hard drive of unwanted docs, programs etc....
Any suggestions???

Well Soy I assume from the CPU speed 700Mhz that you are running a Pentium 3 and that combined with only 256 MB(is that one stick or two) of RAM probably explains why things are slow. Adding more RAM should inprove things dramatically. I suggest increasing it to at least 512Mb (two sticks of 256 MB each) and if the mobo will stand it why not 1 GB (two sticks of 512 MB each). You should see a marked improvement. You are probably using PC100 or PC133 168 pin SDRAM(check the module in place for sticker which could tell you what it is) so make sure you buy the right stuff.

thanks I'll do that,up it to 512... or 2 of 512,undecided yet, won't decide until i get to the comp store..thanks for the info..
