I download music from my own cd's and then save to burn on blank cd for friends and all goes well until I hit burn cd then it says insert blank cd even though I already have. It said my library may be corrupt so something like that and to uninstall and reinstall and I have done that and it is still messing up

It may be a problem with realplayer. You don't need to use that to burn music files to a cd. You can do it with XP's built-in cd-burning utility which may not have that problem, so I should try that instead. You should also be aware that copying commercial cd music onto another disc is illegal, even if you paid for the original cd.
