This problem just started a few days ago. I am getting a popup box saying "new hardware detected: Webntaccess." I really have no clue what this is or why it needs to be installed. It almost sounds like a trojan/spyware/malware/virus. I have done a complete scan on my system with NAV/PestPatrol/adaware/spybot and none of these show anything out of the ordinary.
Can someone tell me what webntaccess is? Should I let my XP Pro SP2 install it?

Thanks!

Never heard of it....

Drop into device manager and see if you have uninstalled hardware for a clue.

start > run
devmgmt.msc
enter

Just wanted to let you know that I did find it (webntaccess) in device manager. I uninstalled it and rebooted and VIOLA! no more install messages.
Yes, sometimes, even us computer geeks forget the easy stuff.
