When I leave the room for a while, my computer goes to sleep. When I come back and move the mouse, it takes about 30 seconds to get going. My previous computers were not like this.

Is this a problem?

Any help would be appreciated.

It may be that your computer is actually going into hibernation mode. I've noticed this with the laptop i'm using that is running Vista Business. Check your power saving settings to see how long it takes to go into each mode.

I made the change and I'll see what happens. I hope I did it right.

I went to control panel>system and maintenance>power options>Balanced:change plan settings>

Then I chose from my options:
Turn off the display: 4 hours
Put the computer to sleep: 5 hours

Let me know if I made the right moves.

Thanks again
