Please go to Start > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs and remove the following (if present):
Norton Internet Security
If that option does not work, you can use the Norton Removal Tool from Norton available here: Norton Removal Tool

Use the Norton Removal Tool anyway! Make sure to get the version designed for your 'product.' Only the 'tool' will clear Norton from your computer.
