I have an HP Pavilion A620N that is only 3 years old and suddenly I am having trouble booting the computer. Most times it stops at the blue HP Invent boot screen. When I am able to get past this screen it will not recognize my keyboard. I have 3 keyboards that I have tried. The last is a USB but because the only login that does not require a password on my computer is not an Administrator the computer will not install the drivers automatically. Any suggestions on how to fix this are greatly appreciated.

Do you have a bootable cd ? like an actual windows disk ( not a recovery disk ?) if so try booting from that... if that doesn't work sounds like the keyboard connector or possibly the controller are bad... which typically means it's time for a new computer/motherboard....

try looking at the motherboard. You want to look at the can-like objects.... you are looking to see if they are bulged or leaking... if that is the case you definately need a new motherboard/computer

It might be that the usb keyboard is disabled in the BIOS. Enter BIOS and make sure that everything related to usb is enabled, especially usb keyboard and mouse.
