Hi guys: I'm not even sure if this is the right forum for this problem. I am using blue voda to build and publish my website. All was well, first website published but now when I attempt to publish I get an error message which blue voda support says indicates a firewall is preventing access. I have the windows firewall turned off and even when it's on I have blue voda software as an exception. I have no router, no network, no other firewall that I know of. Voda support says it is definately a computer issue so they cannot help. aaaaaccccckkkkk. I've been working to resolve this for weeks now. Help..... :)

I have no idea what blue voda is, although it sounds like something that belongs in Star Wars. Hm. Blue Voda it is, hm?!

Do you use any other firewall (if you use Windows XP firewall, SWITCH! Try my favourite - Comodo (www.comodo.com). I use v2.4.

We probably need more info as to how you're trying to publish, and what you're using, ie, if you're behind a proxy, whether you're gaining FTP access to publish, etc. Let us know about your setup. Maybe you can use an external FTP program like Filezilla (http://filezilla-project.org/) to upload?

thanks Damien: blue voda is a website building program....I thought the same thing when I first saw it. Star Wars.... I publish by accessing a shared ip address. Thanks for the tip on the firewall. In answer to your question Windows Firewall is the only one I know that I use. I can't find any other. You have to understand...I'm a florist...not a computer person. I'm amazed I've gotten as far as I have. I was able to publish before but now I'm not. I added some spyware and virus protection and thought maybe it had a firewall as part of the program but I'm not sure how to tell. I must sound really ignorant...but I make great flower arrangements. lol
