As you can probably see in my other thread on this forum, ZoneAlarm almost destroyed my computer.

So, are there any other good free firewalls that I could use to replace it?

Free firewall Google Search. Haven't tried any other firewall except ZoneAlarm and Window's own. ZA does a good job for me and has presented no problems in the years of use.
