Scandisk Error

My scandisk doesn't work.
My defrag stops at 4% telling me it can't continue as there is an error that needs fixed.
Somethings I try to open there is a SHELL32.dll error or something like that.
I tried rebooting window but I come to a thing saying A:/> and I can't get any further than that. Even when I spent a long time looking up the help files from tying (A:/> help) I still can't get any further.
I have a very sick computer indeed.

Also I have to mention that this website is great.

It semms that I now have things under control. I took your advice on how to completely delete windows and restart the computer. Now every thing works. All I have to do is install lots of things again. Thanks.
