Dear destinybond, :)

In a previous post, I had you clear out (remove) your system restore points from your computer. In this post I would like you to create a "restore point". This is how it is done:

To create a restore point:

1. All Programs->Accessories->System Tools->System Restore
2. Press Create a restore point and press Next.
3. In the Restore point description box, type a descriptive name to append to the date and time.
4. Press Create.

Let me know in a reply to this post when the "restore point" has been created. :)

(Note: You really don't need the real time protection of "both" Spybot's teatimer and SpywareGuard. On my computer system, I have my real time protection setup with SpywareGuard, because I found Spybot's teatimer feature to be complicated at times (I disabled the teatimer feature). However, if you want to re-enable Spybot's teatimer feature, just uninstall the SpywareGuard application. It is up to you.)

Please re-enable TeaTimer by doing the following:

1) Run Spybot-S&D
2) Go to the Mode menu, and make sure "Advanced Mode" is selected
3) On the left hand side, choose Tools -> Resident
4) Check "Resident TeaTimer" and OK any prompts
5) Restart your computer.

Please re-enable your "real time" protection of your SpywareGuard software. Here is how:

  • Right click the running icon of SpywareGuard in the system tray to open the program.
  • Click on the "Options" button on the left hand side of the program. This will display a "SpywareGuard Options" dialog box.
  • Click on the "General" link, under "General Protection Options", check the "Enable Real Time Scanning" checkbox and press the "Save Settings" button.
  • Close "SpywareGuard" program by pressing the "x" button in the upper right corner of this application.
